About Us - The Monty’s and Café @ Canada Wood

Gordon and Gillian Montgomery are proud and excited to join the Canada Wood team and with the help of Les and Elaine the family will work hard to provide a great experience for all, building on the already excellent reputation of the restaurant.

The Café @ Canada Wood provides a unique setting. Its’ countryside vibes offer a calm and serene location and is the ideal spot to socialise with friends and family. Only a short walk, cycle or drive from local villages, towns and estates, the restaurant promotes health and well-being in a relaxing environment. We even welcome our canine pals and have an area in the restaurant where your family dog will feel comfortable and perhaps get a selfie on our “Canada Woof” wall.

There are numerous walks and cycle paths surrounding the restaurant and if you are driving please note that there is an abundance of parking spaces which will continue to be free for all patrons of Café @ Canada Wood. The restaurant is the ideal spot to stop for breakfast, lunch or cake & coffee to take on your walk or cycle or enjoy on our outside terrace.

The Monty’s and our great team are here to make the Canada Wood experience something special, creating great memories for all. We hope those already using the surrounding area for walking and leisure will continue to do so and we look forward to welcoming new customers to our wonderful restaurant.

It is our intention to help Canada Wood flourish by enhancing the experience with more outside activities and events throughout the year. We also plan to extend weekend opening hours as spring approaches and update the takeaway facilities to include pre-ordering and collection - allowing those with limited time the opportunity to stop by and collect their order. Not everyone will have the time to enjoy the views from Café @ Canada Wood but they can still sample the delicious food and drinks we offer.
